Nurse’s Ministry is a catholic nurses movement with a charismatic spirituality. It had its beginning in Dubai at St. Mary’s parish church but is now active in all over the U.A.E Parishes. Nurses Ministry is an initiative of Nursing Professionals who are filled with the Holy Spirit, try to reach out to other nurses as well as the other medical professionals. The strength of this movement is its special focus on a life centered on the Lord Jesus Christ: beginning with an experience of God nourished by prayer, the word of God, sacraments and fellowship, and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with others. The Ministry focuses to give awareness to the fellow co-workers that there is a special call of evangelization through the Healing Ministry of Jesus Christ. The bottom line of all our activities, discussion & fellowship is that all Nurses & their family should know Jesus and attain eternal salvation.

Extending the healing touch of Jesus is the core of our mission. In the words of William Osler, “The trained nurse has become one of the great blessings of humanity, taking a place beside the physician and the priest”

History

The origin of the Nurses ministry was in St. Mary’s parish, Dubai in the year 2003 by the initiative of few committed nurses who were encouraged and supported by Fr. Joy Menacherry who was the Spiritual Director of Malayalee Catholic Charismatic Community. Over the years the Nurses Ministry has grown and developed .This development is the fruit of a genuine commitment of the dedicated members of the ministry.

Weekly Prayer Meeting

Every Saturday from 5pm to 7.30 pm in mini hall (Room:2) St Mary's Church, Dubai, which includes preaching word of God, sharing, group discussion, praise & worship, intercession prayers and testimony.
